  • [00:1102:33] Introduction and Healing Sanctuary Tour
The video opens with a warm welcome to the Temple of Peace Healing Sanctuary located within the Aquilani Healing Spa, setting a serene and nurturing atmosphere. The host introduces the physical space, including the chemo cafe’s location, and provides a brief tour of various healing amenities available on-site: the colon therapy center, massage rooms, infrared sauna, steam bath infused with lavender and eucalyptus scents, an ozonated hot tub, and a cold plunge pool. These facilities are described as super clean and designed to support health and wellness. The guest expresses admiration for the beautiful, peaceful environment and shares the intent to use these therapies regularly for healing and rejuvenation. The introduction establishes the setting as a holistic healing space where traditional medical treatments like chemotherapy are complemented by natural and integrative therapies.
  • [03:0206:56] Meet Adriana: Personal Cancer Journey and Healing Philosophy
Adriana, the central figure of the chemo cafe series, is introduced as a woman battling stage four ovarian cancer with metastasis. Despite the advanced diagnosis, Adriana’s approach is characterized by hope, integrity, and a desire to share her journey to inspire compassion and understanding in others. She highlights the critical role of patient mindset in healing, citing medical opinions that suggest treatment effectiveness is approximately 50% dependent on the therapy itself and 40-50% on the patient’s belief in the treatment. Adriana emphasizes her strong belief in her capacity to overcome her illness and live a fulfilling life. Living in Maui, she benefits from a well-rounded healing approach that integrates conventional cancer treatment at the Pacific Cancer Center with complementary therapies available at the spa, such as hyperthermia via infrared sauna, steam, hot tub, and cold plunge. She explains that heating the body during chemotherapy potentiates the treatment’s effectiveness. Additionally, Adriana recently consulted with a homeopath who prescribed remedies to mitigate chemotherapy side effects and address emotional factors possibly underlying her illness. This segment underscores the integration of medical, emotional, and spiritual healing components in Adriana’s regimen.
  • [06:5609:51] Reflection on Lifestyle, Environment, and Cancer Causes
Adriana reflects candidly on her lifestyle and the possible contributors to her cancer, acknowledging that despite years of natural healing practices and generally healthy living, cancer still manifested. She discusses examining her inner state to identify unresolved grief, anger, resentment, denial, and other emotional blockages that might have created a conducive environment for cancer. This introspective and cathartic process is ongoing and deeply transformative. She also addresses common cancer-related lifestyle advice, particularly regarding diet and indulgences like pizza and sugar. Adriana encourages balance and freedom rather than strict deprivation, noting that occasional indulgence, especially with organic or goat cheese pizza, is not harmful and can be a joyful experience. Furthermore, she raises awareness about environmental factors contributing to increased cancer incidence, such as pesticide use and toxic materials like burning PVC pipes, which are concerns in her Maui community. This section balances personal responsibility with recognition of external environmental influences on health.
  • [10:1413:37] Current Treatment Status and Fundraising Efforts
Adriana updates viewers on her ongoing chemotherapy treatments and additional supportive therapies including acupuncture and massage, which help her manage fatigue and maintain calmness during this demanding period. She shares a significant development: a generous $10,000 donation toward her planned treatment at a specialized clinic in Tijuana, Mexico, where advanced, European-style technologies are used to enhance chemotherapy while reducing side effects. Additional contributions and matching funds have brought the total raised to about $24,000, halfway to the $50,000 goal for the full nine-week treatment program. Adriana expresses mixed feelings—comfort with familiar local treatments but excitement and hope about the possibility of accessing this advanced clinic. She openly discusses the uncertainty and dilemma she faces about whether to stay in Maui or pursue this new treatment opportunity. She humbly invites viewers to contribute if they feel moved, emphasizing the importance of empowerment and choice in her healing journey. This candid sharing contextualizes the financial and emotional realities of navigating cancer treatment.
  • [14:0520:44] Guided Writing and Spiritual Meditation Practice
Adriana shares excerpts from her spiritual guided writing practice, which forms a foundational part of her healing and meditation routine. The writings focus on themes of surrender, self-compassion, and spiritual strength amid physical frailty. The first passage speaks to embracing what is, living with acceptance, and trusting in divine guidance (“Thy will be done”). It encourages resting in a surrendered state and witnessing the healing process with gladness and faith. The second, longer passage addresses deep emotional patterns, notably the compulsion to constantly give and serve out of survival fears, which can be draining and block the flow of healing energy. It invites releasing survival fears and embracing the recognition that life flows through the spirit beyond physical limitations. The writing emphasizes forgiveness, releasing grief, living fully in the present moment, and recognizing the interconnectedness of all beings. Service is reframed as natural participation rather than an obligation to fix or save others. The passages collectively provide insight into Adriana’s spiritual framework, highlighting how she nurtures inner peace and resilience alongside her physical treatments.
  • [21:0727:51] Interview with Temple of Peace Proprietors: Shelly and Kedar St. John
The final segment features Shelly and Kedar St. John, proprietors and ministers of the Temple of Peace, sharing their experiences and roles within the healing sanctuary. Shelly, a registered nurse with 33 years of experience and a certified colon hydrotherapist, expresses passion for facilitating holistic healing through colon therapy and the spa’s nurturing environment. She emphasizes emotional support, relaxation, and spiritual growth as integral parts of their services. Kedar describes himself as a “techno-shaman,” combining ancient healing wisdom with cutting-edge technologies. He introduces the Subtle Energy Activation Device (SEAD), a unique apparatus that creates a six-foot radial field of noble gases energized by plasma technology. This field purportedly helps the body draw in what it needs and release what it does not, supporting physical and energetic healing. Both speak warmly of working alongside Adriana and others to cultivate intuitive gifts, raise consciousness, and foster self-love. They invite viewers to experience their 10-day spiritual and physical cleansing programs and other modalities offered at the Temple of Peace. The segment closes on a note of community, empowerment, and mutual support, encouraging viewers to take charge of their health through education, inspiration, and connection.
  • [Closing Remarks]
The host and guests express gratitude for the shared journey, encouraging continued weekly updates on Adriana’s healing progress. They emphasize the importance of self-care, education, and empowerment in making health decisions. The video ends with warm aloha wishes and affirmations of love, hope, and determination, underscoring the compassionate and holistic spirit that permeates the Temple of Peace and Adriana’s cancer journey.
00:11
Hi there, who’s that peeking? Hi there everybody, welcome to the Temple of Peace Healing Sanctuary in the Aquilani Healing Spa.
00:35
And chemo cafe. And this is where we’re going to be locating the chemo cafe for today. Give you a sense of where I go to heal. Come on in. Just walk straight through. Beautiful place. Oh yes. And right here actually is the colon therapy center. So it’s a beautiful place here. Let’s see if it’s open.

01:08
wow that sounds like a vacuum we clean the cleaning place that’s good make sure it’s clean for everybody you can walk on straight through this this is beautiful yeah we’ve had a wonderful just take a look around really just as it’s natural for you
01:34
really nice massage room in there and then this is the a nice little massage room beautiful yeah and then right kind of down through here infrared sauna
02:03
Beautiful steam bath that’s just so clean and smells like lavender and eucalyptus and it’s got a beautiful blue light in there. This is gorgeous in here. We’ve got a really nice, very super clean, ozonated hot tub and then cold plunge up here. Wow. So you come here regularly. I can understand why. My goal is to come here almost every day.

02:33
Wow. Yeah. Well, thank you for sharing our spot. Oh, you’re so welcome. I’m so glad to be able to be here on location. I’m going to get some treatments. I’ve already had a few treatments today. I’m going to have a few more. Wow. So why don’t we go ahead and sit down over there. Let’s go find a spot and sit and talk. Aloha. Aloha. Welcome to week X. Week 9. Week 9. We have to change it to strong 9.

03:02
We’re going to call it strong line, not weak line. Of the chemo cafe. I’m here with beautiful Adriana. Adriana is our chemo cafe star. I’m sure that you would rather have someone else be the star, but you’re the star. Adriana has cancer, ovarian cancer. And it’s been described as stage four, which means it’s advanced stage.

03:31
And it’s metastasized, so it’s traveling. And Adriana is here because she wants to share, she’ll tell you, but she wants to share this experience with you. Some of you who will understand and learn that you want to be compassionate to people around you. And some of you who have challenges yourself to see what a very noble, honorable, high integrity, giving being

04:00
wants to do, which is continue to give. So as we watch her heal, we’ll all be here together to see that process and realize good things happen and they can happen with your prayers and with chemo in this example here. Well, it’s chemo, but what I’m finding is that

04:26
As much as it is the therapy that you choose, whatever that therapy is, even quoted by a medical doctor today, it’s about 50% the treatment and about 40 to 50% what the patient, what the person believes. If you believe this modality or that modality will be effective for you, it is more likely to work.

04:52
And that’s a very important component. And because the statistics medically for using chemotherapy for ovarian advanced stage cancer are statistically low in terms of survival rates, I have a strong belief that I’m going to be the kind of person that will get through this and heal.

05:20
live and do good things with my life. So like Jason was saying, I’m chronicling my journey for myself and for everyone to just see week by week, step by step, the process and what gets revealed. Living here on Maui and having so many wonderful healers and places to go for nourishment and replenishment while the healing experience is going on at the Pacific Cancer Center, it’s

05:49
my version of a well-rounded approach, and I believe it’s God’s version for me. Well, here you are in the beautiful Aquilani Spa Complex, is that what we call this? Yes, it’s where I go for my hyperthermia treatments, which is the infrared sauna, and there’s all these other wonderful things.

06:10
the hot tub and cold plunge and steam. Which are really good for you and your body and what you’re going through. Yeah, when the body heats up during chemotherapy, it potentiates it and makes it more effective. I just saw a homeopath yesterday, Dr. Shawn Edel, and she did a full workup on me and determined that there were two remedies that would be really good for me. One of them to balance out the negative effects of the chemotherapy and, you know,

06:39
The other one is for the emotional components of the illness and maybe what on subconscious levels you won’t say what caused it so much as maybe what helped contribute to being a system for which cancer had a place to take root.
06:56
You can imagine, as a holistic health professional, I’ve been practicing natural healing for years with myself, all different kinds of things. And in between that, you know, just living life and having fun and pizzas and things like that here and there, sugar. And, you know, I don’t think it was the worst thing in the world, but somehow…

07:19
even though i was healthy cancer came to me so now i’m you know evaluating everything in my life and looking to see where i need to clean up my act and it’s a very deep process and my inner guidance has been encouraging me to do that so i’ve been working with some very powerful healers and individuals who have abilities to relax me and then go deep into my subconscious and look at

07:46
what are the conditions in there, what haven’t I let go of, what am I still in grief about, anger, resentment, regret, things I’m in denial about, things that I am, you know, deeply, somehow deeply holding onto. So it’s been a cathartic process over the last number of weeks, and this week was no exception. Well, I am here to talk about pizza and sugars.

08:14
Now what that means is, what I’m really doing is I’m giving you a little freedom, and you, a little freedom. Because I know people that have had challenges with things exactly like yours, who were vegan, who didn’t do any pizza, any sugar. It is understood, the more I learn about cancer,

08:38
The main thing is environmental factors. It’s probably true that as we might have a weak temple as ourselves, that can lead to a condition that makes you more receptive to have a challenge.
08:56
But I don’t think we need to drop the ball on making sure that the world doesn’t use pesticides and doesn’t do things that create this environment. More and more people on Maui have been getting challenges and many people wonder if it’s the
09:21
PVC pipe that they burn, and if it’s all kinds of things that are in our environment. And I just want to bring that up. So the next time you feel like a pizza, or you, once in a while is it going to kill you. Absolutely. Especially if it has good cheese. Get organic cheese on your pizza. Or goat cheese, which is even better. It’s not as mucus forming and binding.

09:51
But in any case, the occasional pizza is a slice of heaven on earth, so please do indulge. Have one for me. Mamma mia. Manja. Manja. Manja. So I want to talk a little bit about something else, and then we’ll do a nice short one, because today I had my second chemotherapy treatment. So I’m feeling…

10:14
I’m tired and a bit drained. I’ve had a few healing treatments here at the Temple of Peace after, so I do feel more calm and relaxed and nurtured. But I’m going to go and have an acupuncture treatment and a massage next.
10:31
I’m done with you guys. So I’ll be getting to a really nice guided writing today at the end of the program, so if you’d like, please stay tuned for that. It’s one of my favorite parts, and we’ve gotten some good feedback on it. Well, should I be jumping off and move in and get the camera to you? Are you ready for that? You can. Yeah, you can. I think it’s good. Bye, Jason. Thank you. So…

10:57
What I wanted to talk about today is on my way to chemotherapy, I’m driving down, and I get a call, and it’s from a good friend. What she said to me is, I’ve decided to put $10,000 towards you going away to get the treatment that you wanted to in
11:15
uh you know san diego clinic with ducky munoz he has a clinic right uh over the border in tijuana but uh it’s an amazing opportunity and your contributions have also helped we’ve got about two thousand dollars from people like yourself who have contributed randomly

11:34
we have another pledge for two thousand dollars from somebody else and we’ve got matching funds on the 10 so we’ve got about 22 24 000 right now the goal was 50 000 to get me through my first round of the full nine week treatment there at the clinic um i want to see what i can do over this next week but what’s going on for me is now that i’ve

12:03
settled into the fact that I might have had to stay here. I became comfortable with that.
12:10
I’m now excited again, but also confused about whether I head off to my clinic or not. So I’m just sharing this with you guys and letting you know my own dilemmas. Do I go with what’s familiar here or do I leave and go for the high level treatments? I’ve got half the money I need. Can I leave with half of the money and know that I’ll get the other half? So it’s very interesting.

12:37
If you guys have a heart to contribute, now would be a really good time to do that. I would never think boldly of asking for money before. Right now, it’s my life, and I’m just really humble about it. I’m not attached to the outcome of how much money comes in, but I would really like to have this opportunity. It seems like a kinder, gentler way to go through cancer, to be taken care of at a nice clinic where they have all of the…

13:06
European type technologies that potentiate the chemotherapy without the negative effects of it in large part. So that’s where I am now. Tune in again next week for the update because I’m sure there will be one. I’ll know within a week what’s going on.
13:37
So Jason, I think that’s about it. I think I’d like to do the guided writing a little bit. Okay, so I’m going to get my book. The one I did over the last couple of weeks was long. And so this is part three, and it’s only a paragraph, so then I chose another one that was really good also. So please do enjoy this.

14:05
This is a freeing time of liberation where, as you follow your inner directives, you are sent help as you help others. There is no certain outcome. That is part of your healing. Living with what is and the frailty of earthly life as you embrace the strength of the soul. That is all the healing that is needed now. And to live in the surrendered state of

14:35
Thy will be done. Rest. Relax now. And witness the process all around you. And be glad. We will not let you down. So that was the end of that guided writing. And that was just very supportive and wonderful. You can go back over the next last couple if you want to see it in its entirety. But please listen to this.

15:04
and enjoy. Adriana, open up to the peace that is within you. As you surrender and help yourself to stop giving, you face and release that part of you which feels as if your only worth is in the acts of service you provide and that if you were not helpful, then you would be cast out or worse, left to die alone and afraid.

15:34
pray for all types of harshness. This has been a pattern and aberration of yours for quite a while and just slightly triggers the good or tinges the good you do with survival fears which make you and the others as recipients slightly uncomfortable and awkward. You are pure at heart and your intentions truly are nothing but good. But this pattern of giving to get

16:02
or survival being associated with giving is drying you up and keeping the larger good from flowing through you that’s the elephant in the room that you think you need to be doing something good for others or they will kill you pretty stark no well we will not be shy here for you have taken and claimed this time for your greatest good very well then we will

16:32
come commence with the rearranging of your priorities. You will have a chance to set some new patterns while you are here to bring forth into this new continuation of your life. Life does not equal death. You have been fighting for your life for far too long. Rather than vibrant life flowing through and as you. The crunch is the universal human predicament

17:00
of eat or be eaten. How can you manage to escape the grips on survival fears that come through you to see if you will bite? Knowing that you are the spirit that animates matter can be helpful, as we know you have come a ways with that. But releasing your survival fears to trust, well, that makes you all wobbly inside.

17:28
We will seek to give you knowledge and hope and experiences that will exemplify your heavenly nature and free you of separation from the angels and divinity that you are. Just let us walk with you on this, your retreat journey. We will gradually help you open to the wonders and miracle of your divine self.

17:55
All healing comes from this place of connection and calm certainty of our divine nature and release of the physical and of what is real. Be connected to the real and the false will fall away. As the vision clears, the truth emerges. You are that which flows through this body and it is for you to have compassion for the choices which accumulated in this body.

18:25
this vehicle that made it sick. There are places of accumulated thought and energy which have stopped up the dam. The well clogged with stagnant thoughts and energy not fully taken to its divine flow through the body and it has stayed there, yours and other people’s. Not to mention the grief of a love gone away with you holding the bag of accumulated good

18:55
without the necessary happiness and gratitude to realize it was nothing ever to hold on to, just to be in the moment a participant and a witness of the wonder of kama, divine love. One must not ever make the present into the future.
19:16
Adriana, there is no future promise you can make. Only the now and intended goodwill into the future. But the future is now. Each moment is eternity. And we release this moment to God. We experience and have gratitude and then open to the new moment. That is all there is.

19:43
And the angels knows this. And that’s why they are clear and light. Then service is natural for what it is there to do. But participate. But only in the naturalness. Not to make anything better. No one can do that. It is the job of the one. Through you and everyone. Seemingly separate cells in the great body of God. Self being self.

20:13
Recognizing again, self in all and extending love and compassion for self and other as one. That’s the deal. Lesson one, they are you and you are they. There’s nowhere to go and nothing to do. It’s all being done. Just smile and be part of the dance.
20:44
So that’s the guided writing for today, folks, and I love sharing that with everyone, and it’s a very important part of my spiritual meditation practice, and I love to share it. So here I have Rev. Schilly and Kedar St. John, who are the proprietors and ministers here at the Temple of Peace, and I wanted to invite them too.

21:07
sit down for a few minutes, and say a brief hello. Everyone, I’ve been truly honored to be in association with both Shelly and Kedar for many years, personally and professionally. They’re two of my best, closest friends in the world. And when I was a colon therapist way back in the early days, in the early 80s, Shelly and I were housemates.

21:26
and had a great time. She’s an RN, and I ended up training her, and she became my protege, and she’s gone on to do many other wonderful healing modalities. And joined by her husband, Reverend Kedar St. John, he is the minister here at Temple of Peace and an awesome techno-shaman healer in his own right. So I’ll let them just say a couple of words about their experience of

21:54
their healing journey with me and just anything they want to say about this beautiful place. And we invite you here to come and stay a day, a week, a month, a few hours, and get rested and rejuvenated and healed with their amazing 10-day spiritual physical cleansing program and many other things here.

22:17
Great. Aloha. Welcome, Adriana. It’s a pleasure to be your friend and to be, I love being one of her students. She trained me 11 and a half years ago to be a level one certified IACTA co-therapist, but since then I’ve gone on to level two, three, and an instructor because I have so much passion. As a nurse, 33 years, I felt I really make a lot more of a difference here at our center working with the closed and open co-therapy machines.

22:44
And I love watching people grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. And I always do sessions on myself before clients instead of the 10-day cleanse, getting soup and getting a lot of emotional support, using the spa here with the sauna, the steam room, jacuzzi, helping people to unwind and relax.

23:07
I just love everything we do here, getting to serve people with the different tools and realities we have. So I feel really blessed to be here. And I also recently became a licensed esthetician, so I get to use all these natural herbal products and standard facial ones. What about you? What would you like to share? How’s the sound? Are you okay with the sound? Sounds good to me. Okay, good. Well, I think that…

23:37
It’s amazing being with you during this time, Adriana. We have a lot to share with you in certain, how would you say, definitely out-of-the-box therapies.
23:55
Sometimes I refer to myself as a techno shaman because I’m often times given the most amazing technologies on planet earth. They just show up. One of them specifically I’ll mention and some of them I won’t mention.
24:12
You have to come in person and try them with us. You have to come and try them with us. But one of them specifically is called the SEAD, S-E-A-D, which Adriana has been working with. It’s called the Subtle Energy Activation Device. It was created by a Nassar scientist, electrical engineer, who used to live in Kula. And when he moved to…

24:42
Portland, Oregon, he decided to give it to me for my 50th birthday. Now, I had been playing with it for quite some time, but what it is, it’s Tesla and Lukowski technology. Lukowski was a Russian scientist who worked with oscillating frequencies. And this particular technology ignites a central core, a central

25:12
Well, the plasma tube. And surrounding the plasma tube there are the noble gases. And the noble gases are ignited by the plasma tube and they create a six-foot radial field.
25:32
that has all the noble gases, oxygen, nitrogen, helium, neon. So how does it affect people? We should probably bottom line it because we only have five minutes left to film it. So what happens is that your body pulls in from that field what it needs and releases from your body what it doesn’t need.

25:58
That’s the kind of stuff. And Adriana’s been actually liking that one, haven’t you?
26:02
Yeah, it feels really wonderful, really relaxing, and I always feel quite well and restored when I’m done. And what I think is neat about what we do here is that we’re working on developing our intuitive gifts, letting the angels come through, and the people who come here, supporting them to open up to their own intuition, and raising our consciousness, making a difference on the planet. And so that’s why it’s a pleasure to work with you, because we’ve seen how much we’ve grown in our many years of our friendship, and we have all these tools

26:32
and facility, but the best part is love. Seeing you love yourself, we’re working on loving ourselves and using all the tools here to uplift ourselves and each other.
26:43
so that’s what we’re doing here at the temple of peace we’re being peaceful we’re being loving we’re creating a field for feeling for healing and miracles to occur so i want to thank you for taking this journey with us today and i love being here with them and we invite you to come and do your own healing journey here if you’d like and please continue to tune in week after week and see the progress as it occurs and again i’m really blessed and honored to be here with

27:13
with Jason as a host, and Ken and Ann, and Shelly and Kate are our same channel. And can I say one last comment? Sure. I think it’s important to get inspired, educated, empowered. Take care of your own health, do your research, and have your core friends help you so you can make your own good decisions and develop your own inner peace, your own inner strength, and make really good decisions from that place of inspiration, education, and empowerment.

27:42
We love you. Thanks for being our friend. We love you too. We love being able to share you with everybody.
27:51
Seeing your progress, actually, at the moment. I’m noticing a bright light inside of you that has this great determination. But I’m into the feel-good. And I’m proud of you, too. Keep up the good work. Thank you. Hey, everybody. Aloha. Aloha. Bye-bye. Take care of yourself.
