Jason Schwartz & GIL ZIEGLER 1997 Private Legacy Trust. Back in 1997, Gil Ziegler came to Maui from the US Northwest and stayed in Kihei. I knew a number of people that were getting higher rates of return on their money through a company called Wheatland Investments. Gil was the principal there. He had now come to explain what he was doing with people’s money in and through Wheatland Investments, and then through creation of these Private Legacy Trusts. A movie came out in 2019 with Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman & Antonio Banderas called “Laundromat”… is there something here to compare? Maybe… then again, maybe not… Was it a pyramid scam and scheme?
