Summary & Transcript Below…
[00:26] Introduction to Robin Youngblood and Her Work
The episode opens with a warm introduction to Robin Youngblood, a longtime friend of Airielle and an esteemed teacher, writer, and ceremony leader rooted in Native American traditions. Robin is recognized for her extensive involvement with Dream Circles and American Indian Ceremonies, and her role within the Grandmother’s Circle of the Earth Foundation. She has been active in shamanic and ceremonial work for many years, particularly on the Hawaiian islands, including leading sweat lodges and other ceremonies. The conversation establishes Robin’s deep commitment, longevity on Maui (around 17 years), and her evolution into a respected spiritual teacher.- [02:18] Robin’s Spiritual Journey and Early Healing
Robin shares her personal story of healing from a difficult childhood, which led her back to her native elders for guidance. Initially met with cautious testing, she demonstrated her commitment by doing humble tasks such as chopping wood and carrying water before being accepted as a student. Her elders identified her as a “bridge” — someone who connects Native and Western cultures, as well as ancient and modern ways. She began participating in the Sun Dance ceremony in the mid-1980s, an ancient Native American ritual involving prayer to the tree of life and dancing to the four directions. This ceremony is transformative and life-changing, symbolizing deep spiritual connection and renewal. - [04:06] Women’s Drum and Cultural Reclamation
Robin discusses her experience leading women’s drum circles, a controversial role because traditionally, some Native tribes prohibited women from holding the drum. Her elders, however, encouraged her to reclaim this practice, emphasizing the drum as the “heartbeat of the mother to the child” and originally belonging to women. This reclamation became a powerful healing process for many women across the country, despite facing resistance and criticism. Robin reflects on the temptation to retreat from the controversy but highlights the grounding strength she found in persevering. [06:52] The 2012 Shift and Spiritual Awakening
Robin describes a pivotal moment during this year’s Sun Dance when she felt a profound sense of “coming home,” coinciding with the elders’ message that it was time for her to teach and share her knowledge on a broader scale. The year 2012 is characterized as a profound time of transformation, not a simple apocalypse or Y2K-style event. The elders spoke of “winds of change” that would bring chaos, seen as the birth pangs of a new era, symbolized by a double rainbow over the arbor. Robin interprets this period as a metaphorical caterpillar entering the cocoon stage where old forms dissolve and “imaginal cells” create new life, representing collective consciousness evolving. This aligns with her training with Barbara Marx Hubbard’s Agents of Conscious Evolution, emphasizing co-creation, transformation, and the necessity of releasing resistance to change.- [10:34] Navigating Resistance and Embracing Evolution
Robin explains that resistance to change is natural but ultimately counterproductive. The evolutionary phase humanity is entering requires surrendering ego and attachments to old patterns, focusing instead on inner truth and essence. She observes that many on Maui are ready to embrace this shift, likening it to an “express train” nearing its destination. The elders’ teachings and her studies suggest the future holds multiple dimensions or realities coexisting, shaped by whether one lives in love or fear—an ongoing choice that defines individual and collective experience. - [12:59] Prophecies and the Multiplicity of Realities
Robin recounts teachings from her diverse mentors, including Mayan elders and Siberian shamans, who affirm a shared prophecy of multi-dimensional existence on Earth. This vision posits that those living in love will inhabit one dimension, while those living in fear will inhabit another, reinforcing the theme of conscious choice. She ties this into contemporary political and social dynamics, where some leaders embody love and empowerment, and others operate through fear and control. The discussion highlights the distinction between authentic power (self-empowerment) and power over others (control). [15:52] The Role of an Activator and Upcoming Journey
Robin reveals that during her recent Sun Dance, the elders identified her as an “activator” — one who holds visions and brings people together to manifest collective goals before moving on to new groups. This recognition aligns with her life’s work of teaching, ceremony, and community-building. Although uncertain how to proceed initially, she prayed for guidance and then shared her intentions publicly via social media, receiving overwhelming support and invitations to teach globally. Her schedule now includes workshops and events, starting with Women of Wisdom in Seattle, where she will engage with prominent spiritual leaders and continue expanding her teachings.- [19:28] Invitation to Collaborate and Network
Robin extends an open invitation to fellow teachers, musicians, and practitioners to join her on her journey, emphasizing co-creation and collective emergence rather than solo effort. She stresses the importance of conscious choice in determining the level of consciousness at which one wishes to exist. The conversation touches on the non-linear concept of time embraced by indigenous cultures, where past, present, and future coexist simultaneously, deepening the understanding of ancestral wisdom’s ongoing relevance. - [22:12] Integration of Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science
Robin discusses the synthesis of traditional indigenous teachings with modern scientific perspectives, particularly quantum physics. She was drawn to Barbara Marx Hubbard’s “Wheel of Co-Creation,” recognizing it as a modern incarnation of the medicine wheel—a sacred circle symbolizing balance and interconnectedness. This framework supports community building by combining personal passion, skills, and collaboration to achieve shared purpose. Robin emphasizes that love and heart resonance are foundational to this new way of being. [24:04] Community and Online Presence
Jason, co-hosting briefly, praises Robin’s dedication and focus. Robin shares resources for those interested in following her journey, including the websites churchoftheearth.org and dreamingshaman.com, which provide calendars and event details. These platforms support growing international communities aligned with indigenous spirituality and conscious evolution. The Dream Makers Foundation and related organizations are also highlighted as vehicles for expanding positive action and spiritual connection worldwide.- [30:38] Diversity of Tribal Cultures and Shared Wisdom
Robin identifies her own multi-tribal heritage, including Okanagan, Sanpoil, Nez Perce, Cherokee, Cree, and adopted affiliations with Ojibwe, Lakota, and Colusa Seminole. She discusses the variations in medicine wheels among tribes, shaped by geographic and cultural factors, yet sharing core principles such as the sacred circle, balance of elements, and connection between physical and spiritual realms. She stresses that all indigenous traditions hold “nuggets of truth” and that no one culture has the whole picture. Collective sharing and cooperation can weave these truths into a unified, holistic wisdom. - [34:55] Vision of Unity and Positive Action
The conversation returns to the importance of love, shared purpose, and putting aside differences to create solutions for global challenges. Robin emphasizes that existing wisdom and resources are often underutilized due to division and conflict. The medicine wheel metaphor illustrates how each part contributes to the whole, reinforcing the power of community and cooperation. The phrase “People Aligned in Positive Action” encapsulates this vision of collective empowerment and responsibility. - [36:16] Upcoming Travels and Global Teaching
Robin outlines some of her planned travels, including Northern and Southern California, a Grandmothers’ Circle tour in the UK (Scotland, England, Wales), and visits to France, including sacred sites like the caves of Lascaux and the Pyrenees. She will assist Basque women in reclaiming an ancient medicine wheel. Invitations to South Africa and other locations are also in the works. Robin highlights the transcendent nature of the medicine wheel, which can be embraced across religions and cultures as a universal symbol of the circle of life and interconnectedness. [39:01] Medicine Wheel as a Hologram and Reality Creator
Robin expands on the idea that the medicine wheel is not flat but holographic, reflecting “as above, so below.” She acknowledges that reality is shaped by perspective, noting that different witnesses to the same event provide diverse stories. This multiplicity of perspectives enriches collective understanding. The medicine wheel’s segments represent unique yet integrated parts forming a balanced whole. This approach encourages respect for diversity while fostering unity.- [40:18] Modern Challenges and Techno-Shamanism
The dialogue touches on how rapid technological change and commercialization have influenced indigenous practices, sometimes leading to “techno-shamanism.” Robin expresses hope that sacred traditions will retain their purity amidst contemporary influences. The conversation also conveys mutual gratitude and excitement for the upcoming journey and shared vision of global connectivity. - [45:16] Sacred Tools and Ceremony
Robin presents some of her ceremonial tools, including her hand-painted drum adorned with symbolic imagery such as the yin-yang, hibiscus, Pleiades star cluster, tree of life, and representations of masculine and feminine balance. She also shows her prayer staff, featuring a Pueo (Hawaiian owl), which she uses to call in ancestors and open ceremonies. These tools embody the fusion of cultural symbolism and spiritual intention central to her work. - [47:49] Core Advice for the Audience

Robin offers profound guidance for listeners: find your center and truth by carving out time for inward reflection amid daily distractions. She encourages people to discover their unique passion, purpose, and how they wish to express and share their gifts. Citing Hopi wisdom, “we are the ones we’ve been waiting for,” she stresses personal empowerment and responsibility in shaping the future. Robin announces an upcoming newsletter focused on the theme “Be. Be aware. Become. Because,” highlighting conscious creation and choice between chaos and beauty.- [49:55] Healing Chant and Ceremony Opener
To conclude, Robin performs a traditional women’s healing chant from Guaymas Island on the northwest coast, used historically in ceremonies marking significant life transitions from birth to death. This chant serves as an opening blessing, establishing connection and reciprocity with the universe. She describes her workshops as holistic, integrating chant, dance, sound, movement, writing, and internal spiritual work, offering participants a comprehensive experience of universal energy. - [53:55] Grandmother’s Circle Retreat with Polish Women
Robin discusses an upcoming retreat involving 14 Polish women visiting Hawaii to experience Hawaiian culture, learn traditional crafts like kihei-making (fabric imprinting), and engage with the medicine wheel and the Wheel of Co-Creation. This initiative is part of the Grandmother’s Circle of the Earth Foundation’s mission to empower women globally by establishing grandmother councils that address local issues and foster interconnectedness. The retreat exemplifies Robin’s commitment to cultural exchange, healing, and global sisterhood.

The episode closes with expressions of mutual gratitude and blessings from both Robin and Airielle. They emphasize the importance of leadership, spiritual awakening, and community as they look forward to continued collaboration and connection through upcoming events, teachings, and the shared vision of a more harmonious world. The tone is hopeful and celebratory, reinforcing the episode’s themes of transformation, unity, and conscious evolution.

Amen.
00:26
Aloha and welcome to Airielle’s World yet again with a beautiful beautiful friend of mine and not only is she a great and wonderful friend for many many years but she is an incredible teacher and writer
00:47
and ceremony leader. And she is wonderful. So I’m going to let her tell you more about what she does. So this is Robin Youngblood. You might have heard her names in association with Dream Circles and American Indian Ceremonies. Where else would they have heard your name, Robin? Oh, geez. I’m part of the Grandmother’s Circle of the Earth Foundation.
01:17
I do a lot of shamanic work here on the island. I’ve poured sweat lodge for many years here and done ceremony for a lot of folks over the islands. It’s been a long time. It has. We were just talking about it. Yeah, we were trying to figure out how many years we’ve known each other, but I think it must be at least, how long have you been on the island? 17 years now. Okay, so probably 17 years then. Okay, so whoopee.
01:47
And I have watched her blossom and blossom and blossom into the beautiful teacher that she has become. You’re making me blush. Oh, well, good. That’s what this is all about because we want these people out here to know how wonderful you are. So tell me, honey, tell them, how did you get started leading all these ceremonies? What drew you to this? What spoke to your heart?
02:18

02:38
They needed some time to see who I was when they realized that I was serious. And I’d chop wood and carry water and I wasn’t going to go away. They finally decided to open the doors and began to teach me. And in the teaching also came the healing. So very early on they told me that I’m a bridge because I’m part native and part white.
03:08
that I would be a bridge between cultures. Because I learned traditional ways and I’m a modern person, I’m a bridge between those ways as well. I didn’t know exactly what that meant at that time. Probably a good thing. Of course, we grow into that knowledge. I started Sundancing in the mid-80s.
03:37
What’s sun dancing? Another voice heard from. Sun dancing is a very ancient ceremony in which you pray to the tree of life. The dancers dance in a circle to the four directions. If anybody saw A Man Called Horse, what was that 40 years ago? That is about sun dance. It’s a very profound ceremony.
04:06
changes lives on a daily basis. Wow. Wow. So you started doing that and then? And at some point the elders said, you know, we’ve given you this information for a purpose. It’s time to begin to take it out. At that time I was living in Seattle. I held a women’s drum, which was controversial in itself because in some of the native tribes
04:37
women aren’t allowed to hold the drum. And yet my elders told me to. So I followed what they requested rather than what other people thought was wrong. Did you get a lot of flack about that? For a long time. And yet what the elder women told me is that the drum is the heartbeat. It’s the heartbeat of the mother to the child. The womb. Yes.
05:03
that it was very necessary for the women to reclaim that, that the drum had first and originally belonged to the women. And so our taking it back in that way, I wasn’t the only one. There were women all over the country who were saying, it’s time to take the drum back. And in doing that, it became a huge healing for a lot of women. That is so wonderful. How wonderful to get the experience to do that. Yes.

and be one of those forerunners also um really made me ground myself because with all the flack that was coming at different times there was a huge temptation to say forget it i don’t want any of this notoriety i don’t want anything to do with any of this just leave me alone
05:58
Well, you know, it’s so interesting how we grow into our spiritual journeys, you know, things that we didn’t even realize. I know for myself, I was given wisdom many years ago, and I thought I kind of understood what it
06:22
said, but now I go back and I look at that same wisdom and I go, oh. Every day I go, oh. Exactly. Well, you know, if we stop going, oh. We’re in trouble. We’re in trouble. Or an ego, which is trouble. That’s trouble. So you’re getting ready to go on a journey. Yeah, kind of a huge one. A huge journey she’s about to undertake.
06:52
This year at Sundance, when I came into the Arbor, I felt like I was home. And I hadn’t felt home for most of the year, even here on this gorgeous island. And I didn’t know what was stirring in me, but something was. And the elders told me, it’s time for you to come home. It’s time to teach. It’s time to share on a larger basis than you’ve been doing.
07:22
And most of that has to do with the time that we’re in. We’re in 2012. Everybody’s talking about, well, what does that mean? Is this going to be another Y2K fizzle? No, it’s not. While we were sun dancing, the elders said it was the winds of change blew through, blew down the teepees, the medicine tent, all kinds of things.
07:49
And right after that, the wind stilled and a double rainbow came right over the arbor. Oh, how beautiful. And what they explained is that this is a time that’s going to look very chaotic. And we call it chaos because it’s a new way that’s emerging that we don’t yet understand. Yeah. And when I think of that, I heard a very similar…
08:18
Explanation for miracle. Miracle is a technology that we don’t yet understand. Oh, that’s very cute. I never heard that one. I like that. I’m choosing to look at chaos as miracle. Well, you know, I think that whenever there is change, people are so resistant to change that it creates chaos.
08:45
And it’s being created on many different levels, inside the earth, on the top of the earth, in the skies, you know? So… But I think we have to realize that… You know, I listened to something the other day. It was about the caterpillar turning into the butterfly. And…
09:10
I mean, that transformation of that caterpillar into that butterfly is what I think this time period is all about. One of the teachings about the caterpillar becoming the butterfly is that when the caterpillar goes into the cocoon, every living cell must die and be replaced by what is scientifically called imaginal cells.
09:39
this time of 2012, the imaginal cells are taking over. I’ve been taking a training with Barbara Marks Hubbard called The Agents of Conscious Evolution. She’s so wonderful. Oh, she’s fabulous. Eighty-six years old. Oh my gosh. I hope I have that energy when I’m eighty-six years old. She’s amazing. I was listening to Jean Houston the other day. She’s another one, but of course they’re friends. Yes. I’m going to be speaking with Jean in Seattle at Women of Wisdom.
10:09
At any rate, one of the things that Barbara was saying is that in this time, there’s a pull, that resistance you spoke about, to try to go back to business as usual, somehow. But we’re in an evolutionary phase. That cannot happen.
10:34
We can try to pull it back all we want, and all that’s going to happen is we’re going to get dumped on. So the less we can resist, the more we can go to the core, the essence within ourselves that really knows what’s real and what’s necessary in this moment, and allow that to emerge, the more we’re going to be able to move through this shift without chaos.
11:04
And so many people here on Maui, we’re ready for this. Yeah, I mean, if we can let go of the resistance, and a lot of us here on Maui really don’t have that resistance. We’re like going, okay, let’s go. Let’s go. We got on this express train a long time ago, and it’s about to reach its destination. Whatever that is. Whatever it is, right. We don’t know what it looks like. Not yet. Not yet.
11:33
But, you know, it’s interesting because I’ve been doing a lot, a lot of looking at this 2012. It’s like when we came into it, I went, oh my goodness, 2012. Well, you know, and I’m sure the same is for you because we’re approximately a similar age. We looked at this like 30 years ago, 2012, you know, and it was, oh, so far away. And now all of a sudden, we’re in it.
12:02
You know, and it’s extremely exciting. And I believe a lot of us came, especially for this time period. I agree. You know, I was reading something about the Mayans the other day and what they were saying. And they were saying that they believe that wherever a person’s consciousness is, wherever they’re focusing their consciousness, that’s what’s going to be created for them in this year.
12:29
So do the Indian elders, are they saying something similar to that? What are they saying? Probably close to 30 years ago, in Seattle, I worked with Humbat’s men, who is Mayan, and Beaver Chief, who was one of my teachers, and two Siberian shaman, Mingle and Misha, who were in their
12:59
80s and 90s, and had never been out of Siberia before, only spoke Ochi. And they all said the same thing. They went back to Wovoka’s prophecy, which was what started the ghost dance. And the ghost dance was all about saying, it’s time to get rid of all this chaos and confusion and
13:22
basically white people go back where you came from, they’re going to go to some… and the Indians are going to go into an Indian heaven. Okay? Well, Beaver Chief had a different interpretation of that. He said that there would come a point where there would be multiple dimensions on Earth. Same Earth, just different dimensions. And that those of us who lived in love would live in one dimension,
13:51
And those of us who live in fear would live in a different dimension. We all have choice. We have choice every moment of every day. And I actually want to make a bumper sticker that I’m going to put on the back of my car as I travel around doing this teaching thing that says, Love or fear, choose. Oh, that’s a great one. Yeah. That’s a great one. I even see it in our political system. Absolutely.
14:21
People like Dennis Kucinich and Obama, actually, they want love to express itself. And yet there are the other politicos who at this moment are still saying, no, no, no, no, no. We’re a world of fear and we have to live there. But it’s not going to last. A world of fear and power. Control. Power is different from control. Yes.
14:50
It’s one thing to be self-empowered and to know your purpose, your truth. Yes, but then you don’t need power over anyone. No, and power over is all about control. Right.
15:10
Well, the magic of TV, we just moved a little bit so we weren’t getting so much sun for you to get glare. And we’re back. And what I want for… Oh, by the way, this beautiful greenery and…
15:26
the wood you saw this is all in robin’s backyard because she does a lot of ceremony back here she’s got several fire pits and it’s really quite beautiful thank you you’re welcome so robin what i was getting ready to say to you was that you’re getting ready to go on this fabulous journey and so why don’t you tell us a little bit about what you’re going to be doing thank you
15:52
Well, several things happened at Sundance this year. I started to mention that earlier that the elders told me several things. One, the winds of change are blowing. Chaos and then something new is going to emerge. Two, whatever is in our true alignment is what we want to call in this year and allow everything else to fall away. Three,
16:21
in this time of change all of us are teachers as well as we’re all students and it’s time to begin to come together in a new and different way than we have before so that we can share those things and then they told me it was time to come home and teach they also told me i’m an activator i thought well
16:44
Cool word, what’s it mean? And they told me that, as applied to me, what it means is that I am a person who holds the vision for people and brings them together so that they can create the vision. And then I move away. I step to the next group of people.
17:10
And when they told me that, I realized that that’s been true for me for many years. So they told me to come home and teach. Yahoo! And when I asked them, well, that’s great, but how do I do that? I live on Maui. I have a day job, just like everybody else here. I do all this.
17:33
ceremony here and so forth. How do I do that? They said, well, we don’t know. Take it to the tree. Go pray about it. Which is their usual way of doing things. So I did. And I came home and thought, well, I’m just going to put out a letter on Facebook telling people what the elders told me and what I’d like to do and seeing if anybody’s interested. And I’ve been rather overwhelmed with the response.
18:02
in a very wonderful way. People have invited me to come. They’re willing to sponsor me to do so. I have pretty much an all-year schedule set up at this point. That is so wonderful. Good for you. Yeah. And we’re starting out with Women of Wisdom up in Seattle. Jean Shinoda Bolan, Jean Houston, Ubaka Hill,
18:32
Is Barbara Max Hubbard going to be there? Who knows? She might surprise us. Desmond Tutu’s wife, Naomi Tutu, is going to be there. It’s going to be quite spectacular. I’ll be doing a workshop on Sunday, and I’m going to sit at the feet of all these amazing women the rest of the weekend. So I’m really looking forward to that.
19:01
And it looks like I’m going to get to travel around the world. Part of it on my own, to share the teachings that I carry and the new teachings I’ve received from the Agents of Conscious Evolution Training, which are the next step. And part of it with Grandmother’s Circle of the Earth. So, it looks to me like I’m going to be on the move a lot. Sounds so exciting, Robin. Can I…
19:28
Just jump into one of your drums. Sure. Travel along with you. It sounds wonderful. Actually, I’m sending out an open invitation to all my musician, teacher, yoginis, all my wonderful friends. If you follow the calendar and you see you’re going to be in the same place at the same time, come along, please. There’s a way for all of us to share.
19:57
what’s come to us in order to make this emerge. It’s not even a matter of making at this point. It’s a matter of allowing. Exactly. Allowing, and like we were saying, which level of consciousness on this earth do you want to be existing on? You get to choose.
20:22
And that was a really wonderful way that you put that, what we were talking about. And I do believe that that’s what’s happening. As well, I believe that we’re in a change of time. The time as we know it is totally shifting. Have the Indians said anything about that specifically? Time?
20:45
We actually don’t believe in linear time anyway. Right. Well, we don’t. For us, everything’s a circle. Right. And it all exists at the same time. Simultaneously. And that’s very hard to understand when we’re in linear positions. Yeah? Right. And yet, the ancestors are right here with us right now. No question. And their wisdom and joy is informing and inspiring us.
21:15
As we sit here and talk. No question about that. By the way, I reminded Robin earlier that I’m also part Cherokee. She did. And she remembered. I did remember. You know, it’s wonderful to have that foundation. And at the same time, there’s so much new emerging right now.
21:42
I keep using that word emergence because that’s what’s happening. We’re in a place that we’ve never been before. We need those foundational tools, the things that the old ones knew how to do to keep us in pono, in balance and harmony with the earth, because they ground us and they show us how to do certain pieces of this. And there’s so much newness that’s coming in that it can’t be just that.
22:12
We’re also bringing in the scientific aspects. We’re doing quantum physics on a daily basis. It’s all important. It’s all part of the circle. The thing that attracted me to Barbara’s training? Yeah. I went on the website and scrolled down and all of a sudden I saw the wheel of co-creation.
22:36
Beautiful. For me, it was another medicine wheel, immediately. Absolutely. I could totally see and feel that. And it shows how we can work together, how we can find both our personal passion and the skills that we have to go with it, and the people that we want to work with who have different skills,
23:04
Different passions, but the same purpose. Right. Well, that’s what community is all about. Yes, and we’ve all watched communities that don’t do that successfully. Well, but now we’re coming into a whole new time. We are. And where love is the answer. I mean, that’s my answer. My answer is love is the answer. And there’s a lot of other things that go along with that, but…
23:34
I think it’s so important to bring us into heart resonance before we do anything else. Exactly. Exactly. Well, you know what? We’re going to do a little more magic of television right now. Okay. So… No, I’m not Airielle. I’m a guest star. I guess I’m a guest star on Airielle’s World. I’m Jason. Many of you know that. Robin, it’s a pleasure to be here with you. You too. You know, I’ve known you a long time and
24:04
in many different ways, but the thing that’s always been the same is your sincere dedication to anything that you’re doing. And I feel, you know, you’re focused. When you’re on something, you really are focused and give it 1,000%. Thank you. This tour is going to be very exciting for all the people. So you’re going to go here and there. Where can they find out about your tour and where you’re going to be going? I know you have a couple of web addresses for me.
24:34
Sure. The first one is churchoftheearth.org. It’s the church community that we’ve had here on Maui. And it’s now becoming international. And if you go to churchoftheearth.org or to dreamingshaman.com, my personal website, you can find a calendar link. If you check the calendar, you’ll find out where I am.
25:01
I was just going to tell them. And if you look at dreammaui.org and you find the link that shows where we have the telephone, the television show put up there, you’ll see these links, so we’ll make it easy as well to be able to link through us. Because this is the year that Dream Makers Foundation, Mama and Papa, it’s two components, are coming alive. You know, it’s a, I’d say coincidence, but I know better.
25:30
20 years, 20-20 vision here in 2012. Things are changing and moving, and moving up a level where people that are Indian, all kinds of people are coming in and out and sharing. People of all different religions are starting to realize and honor
25:52
what God is and don’t draw lines, the distinctions between physical life and spiritual life, although I could hear you guys were talking about different levels, I don’t know if they’re called different levels of existence? Dimensions. Different dimensions of existence co-existing at the same time, and how the Indian culture looks at everything as past, present, future all together.
26:22
These are exciting times. So many people are waking up. People that you wouldn’t have thought were awake. You know, my day job has been working as a concierge with the tourist industry here. I used to give a little orientation to the island every morning to the incoming folks at my resort. Three years ago, it was all about
26:50
Well, how do I get out to Molokini? How do I do this? How do I do that? In the last three years, there’s been the most amazing shift. People come and say, what about your aquifer? What’s happening with the Eyal Valley? I hear that you’re still burning sugar cane. Why are you doing that? Thank you, guys. Send them letters. Exactly. And I tell them, send them letters.
27:20
Other people come and say, you know, I stepped off the plane and something happened. What is it about this island? And they begin to experience the magic. And, you know, I’m a very subtle magical practitioner here. I open gateways for them so that they can find the magic that they came for. And more and more people are seeking that.
27:48
they know there’s something special here and they know that if they come here and they connect with that it’s going to change them and they take it away and they’re taking it back to their communities and saying oh wow there’s something going on over there i want it to be going on over here too right so when you mention that i’m going to bring it back to what’s going on with us dream maui which is dream makers foundation mama and papa
28:16
Maui Arts and Music Association, People Aligned in Positive Action. When we first put up our website and started our TV show 18 years ago, Carl Rosecki, who you may know from here, did this image of using our logo
28:34
and took the image of the ocean and Maui in the distance and used the logo over and over to show that what we want to do is share our visions and what we’re doing with the Earth. Cover the Earth
28:50
with people aligned in positive action, all of us coming together. Absolutely. Here we are. That’s why it was so important to me that we do our show before you leave on your journey because wherever you are, we’re connected and we want to stay connected with you and be of great assistance in any and every way that we can.
29:13
Well, thank you. It’s mutual. I’m a natural networker and connector, and that’s part of my purpose in going out. Going back to the ACE training here, the Agents of Conscious Evolution, this is the third training that Barbara’s done. There are now several thousand people involved. Good. All over the world, all on the same page with what’s happening with the shift.
29:43
What I have been given and guided with here is that my piece of this is to touch base with all these communities, both with the ancient foundational tools and with the Wheel of Co-Creation, and networking all these communities together. That’s our vision. Great. We’re happy to have you on the vision wheel with us. Absolutely. You’ve been here all the time. Sure I have.
30:13
So, this is a very interesting and exciting time. I don’t want to go off on tangents, but I know that when I think of American Indian, and you were talking Indian, are you American Cherokee as well as something else? I call myself my own five civilized tribes.
30:38
I’m Okanagan Sanpoyla Nez Pierce from Eastern Washington and Canada, British Columbia. I’m Cherokee and I used to think it was Iroquois, but I’ve recently come to understand that it’s Cree. I’m also adopted into the Ojibwe, Lakota, and Colusa Seminary.
30:57
And I heard you say the word ponos. I know you’re taking a little bit of a look at the Hawaiian culture. It’s a wonderful thing to see cultures coming together. Are there great differences in your experience in Indian culture between the different tribes and the different… Is there a commonality? I know I would think medicine wheel somehow. The medicine wheel is part of what I teach, and I learned it from several different tribal cultures.
31:25
I see. Each medicine wheel, each tribe’s medicine wheel is somewhat different. The colors are different, the position is different, etc. The meaning in the East might be fire for one tribe, it might be air for another tribe. Okay. Nonetheless, the same basic premise, the circle, Father Sky, Mother Earth, the physical plane, it all exists. And
31:55
medicine wheels developed because of the landscape the people were on. In other words, if you were Lakota Sioux and you looked to the south, you might see red because that’s where the summer sun comes from. You might see white in the north because that’s where the snow comes from and the elders and the white hair. You might see yellow in the east, that’s the rising sun.
32:25
You might see black in the west, that’s where the sunset is and the twilight. Another tribe looking from a different angle and observing a different landscape
32:37
might attribute different meanings to it. Still, it all works. Still, is there a commonality of feeling the circle of the past, present, and future all at the same time? I always wonder where the roots come from, because when I think Indian, I’ve seen so many different Indian tribes and not really understood the differences. And then I always come back to my own base, which is
33:06
We’re all part of the same tribe. You know, we’re a community of man. You were talking to Airielle about how some communities work and some don’t work. And we’re in a time where we’re going to see a lot of all of that happening. Hopefully they’ll use, what do they say, the best
33:27
the best of the best wisdom that comes from all and comes out with that one basic thing that love and sharing and caring and lay down our swords and come together in peace and love and accomplish more than we can by bickering and separating and becoming enemies when in fact maybe a little more communication might do it
33:55
You know, over the years, because I’ve studied with so many different tribal people, as I said, the Siberians, also Aborigine, and the Polynesians, the Maori, what I’ve come to understand for myself is that every tribal people has nuggets of truth. And we each hold peace, but nobody holds the whole thing.
34:25
If we could come together and share all those nuggets of wisdom, we’d be able to put the puzzle together. That’s what I saw in the Wheel of Co-Creation. We all come to the table with whatever our truth is. Your truth and mine might be very different. And yet somewhere in there, there’s a common denominator, a common thread. And in that common thread,
34:55
And if we can bring together and stay in the love instead of the personalities, we’ll find the solutions we need. A lot of those solutions already exist, only we’re not using them because we’re arguing about them. Well, hopefully that’s, you know, what you’re doing and doing and going around the world and sharing. What we’re doing, sitting in one place, and we’ll be out and moving, but to be continued. But that’s the same, you know, same base vision.
35:25
people aligned in positive action where they all do their part you know you couldn’t have a medicine wheel if every part of the wheel wasn’t there to do its part exactly you know in a world how what does holistic means it means whether you’re blue green pink irish french whatever your persuasion martian we all are
35:50
Together, we can accomplish more. You know, that’s that old acronym we hear, you know, in the sales world. Together, everyone accomplishes more. In the world, together, we’re going to solve the problems because the problems are only created when we separate and think that there’s a lack. When we think and feel that we can’t let the flow happen. Exactly. Yeah.
36:16
What’s some of the exciting places you’re going to go? Give them a highlight. So before they get to the calendar, give them some of the places they’re going to take a look for you. I’ll be in Northern California in the first part of April, Southern California the second part of April. Then the grandmothers have a tour planned through the UK, through Scotland, England, Wales. Wow.
36:43
And I’m scheduled after that to go to France, the Kermag, the caves at Lascaux, and up into the Pyrenees. The women of the Pyrenees, you know, they were Catholicized many centuries ago. And there’s a huge medicine wheel up in the mountains there that they no longer know how to use.
37:10
And what I’ve been told is that the Basque people are trying to reclaim their ancient wisdom, which there are similarities in all the ancient cultures. So since that medicine wheel is there, the women have asked me to come and help to reactivate it and teach them how to use it. That’s exciting. I’ve been invited to go to South Africa, too. Wow.
37:37
When you say teach the Catholic, right, Catholic women how to use a medicine wheel, could this be the walls come tumbling down and more openness with religions that often were thinking that different things were taboo when they realized and take the walls down, it can all be part of something very pure and sacred to them. That’s a very exciting thing.
38:07
It is very exciting. And what’s exciting for me is that the medicine wheel, to me, transcends all religions. It’s not based on a doctrine. It can be used by anybody in any religion. I have Buddhist people come. I have people who follow the Hindu way. I have worked with a number of Catholics. As a matter of fact, we have a Catholic priest who comes to my Sundance now and then.
38:36
It serves us all communion. It’s wonderful. And when we begin to look at the medicine wheel as what it really is, which is the circle of life that you spoke of, that place where there is no division, and yet there are segments within the circle that are unique and individual and elemental and
39:01
fulfill the whole construct. For me, the medicine wheel isn’t a flat construct. It’s a hologram. As above, so below. And many of us are coming to understand that we create our own reality. Mine might be different than yours. Probably is. Bring ten people together who witness something and they’re all going to give you a different story. Ten stories. Yep. And that’s perspective.
39:31
perspective creates our reality. Yes. Oh, I was just going to say, and in that, where we all have perspective and create a reality in common, just like you’re talking about the circle of life and the wheel, all together, all have their individual parts to play without any of that stigma
39:56
We take the stigma and the things that go on in the world that somehow got added on to a very pure, things very pure, that somehow, I don’t know if it’s commercialized, maybe that’s part of it, but we’re living in such a fast age with techno.
40:18
I heard the word techno shaman and all the rest of this kind of stuff. We’re taking things and mixing them all up. I think soon I’d like to bring Ariel back in, but I just want you to know I’m so honored to be here with you and to be here before your journey. I hope that somewhere out there in the world we come and we join you. I hope so too. Yeah. Please.
40:44
because we’re going to be linking things up. And your journey, it’s almost like you’re laying the path as we are, all of us, because it’s not just me and Ariel. It’s all of us together to start working together and be aligned and sharing ideas, both at the websites that we have and also at the live events and sharing the rich and the poor, the blue and the green,
41:12
I’m looking forward to seeing Hawaiians and Indians and Caucasians and blacks and Tibetans and Samoans and Aborigines all around the same wheel and part of. True. I just got chicken skin. Thank you. I always thought it would be nice if all the leaders of the world together, we get them all together and we all have a training together. That would be an interesting experience. What would happen if we all talk and
41:43
And we all are interested in what’s the best for everyone. Can that be done? I think it can. You know, I think at the basis of humanity, the heart of humanity, we all want that. And it’s time to let go of all the things that don’t align with that. Yeah, well, that sure is real to me.
42:07
I’m going to invite Miss Ariel back in. This is her show. And besides that, I really know that this, to me, it’s important to bring women and leaders. Not that I feel a difference. I’m happy to hear that the women are coming up and, quote, creating equality in a world that somehow doesn’t and hadn’t in the past recognized women as great leaders.
42:37
And yet now we’re dropping the gender and we’re all doing our part. But there’s something to be very powerful about the women coming together in 2012. I hope that we guys, are there going to be many men there? What do you think the mix is going to be? Do you have any feeling for that? I told you I belong to Grandmother’s Circle of the Earth. There’s also an organization called 28 Grandfathers. 28 is not a literal number.
43:07
What the prophecies have told us, and it’s in almost every indigenous prophecy, that this is the time for women to stand forward, to hold circle and counsel from the place of peace and nurturing and love, which we’re pretty doggone good at. Mama. Mama, that’s it. The feminine, the sacred feminine.
43:38
And in order to do that, we need the balanced masculine to hold the outer circle, the protectors, the activators, the ones who can take what comes out of counsel and implement it.
43:55
People aligned in positive action. That’s us. That’s how we structure this. Mama and Papa coming together, true, complete family values. Truth comes from all that. I didn’t go into the American Indian culture and discover that, or I didn’t go here. These natural things. Remember there was a movie called Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Steven Spielberg? You guys remember that.
44:25
Everyone was building their own little model of this mountain and seeing these visions. All around the world, visions were coming together and seeing that common vision. May this be the common vision. Oh, I got chicken skin again. Well, we’re getting cold. I’m going to give you a kiss, and then I’m going to make some room, and we’re going to bring Ariella back into the show here with you. Wonderful. Thank you for spending this time with me.
44:54
Thank you, Ariel, for letting me come into your show. I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you. See you in a sec. Sure. Aloha. Well, it’s me again. I just love the magic of TV. I love the divine marriage.
45:16
The minute there’s a woman sitting here, the next minute there’s a gentleman sitting here. Yeah. What he said, he takes both. Look at this beautiful drum. Wow, Robin, that is just so gorgeous. Thank you. I know I’ve seen it before, but I don’t know that I ever got to look so incredibly closely at it. It’s really gorgeous.
45:42
This drum came to Maui with me, but it had no painting on it. And on the way over, about, I don’t know how many thousand feet in the air we were, Spirit showed me what to put on the drum. And did you paint it? I did. It’s gorgeous. It’s really beautiful.
46:05
And there’s that balance of the masculine and the feminine. Yep. And the yin-yang ring. The hibiscus, the Pleiades, the tree of life, the life force. I wondered what that was. Okay, life force. And your black cat. And the spiral that takes us to the center. And man and woman feeding from the tree. How wonderful. And this…
46:35
Is prayer stick? It is. It’s my staff. She goes with me everywhere. As you can see, she’s Pueo. Owl. And in our way, very sacred. Just as she is here. She’s really pretty. Can you see that eye?
46:56
She starts ceremony with me everywhere. Calls in the ancestors. How fabulous. Oh, I love all your tools. So, tell me, Robin. I mean, I love what you’re doing, and I’ve been to numerous of your ceremonies, and I’ve experienced you, and we’ve gotten to hear all that you’ve done and where you’re going, but…
47:20
These people out here are not going to get to travel to those places with you, most of them. Come on ahead. So what I would like for you to do is, what do you think at this time is the most, I would say, profound or wise piece of advice that you have for our audience?
47:49
or a few pieces i would say find your center find your truth spend the time that it takes we’re distracted all the time every day find that time make the time to go inward and find out who you really are what you really have to offer why did you come here what’s your passion and purpose in life
48:19
How do you want to express it? And who do you want to share it with? Now’s the time. The Hopis say, we are the ones we’ve been waiting for. And we really are. I wanted to mention that I’m going to be putting out a newsletter. You can sign up for that on my websites as well. And the article that’s coming out this month
48:48
is about be. Be aware. Become. Be cause. We cause our own creation. And we can either cause it as chaos or we can cause it as a beauty way. Our choice.
49:24
What beautiful wisdom. Mahalo. Mahalo. And please take that beautiful wisdom into your heart and have a good look at what it is that you want to create for yourself in this year and in the time to come. So we are going to have a really special treat right now. At least I think we are. And we’re going to have a little chant from Robin.
49:55
So you want to give us an idea of what you’re going to do and what it’s about? I use this chant to open most ceremonies. It’s actually a women’s healing chant from Guaymas Island in the northwest coast. And it’s been used for centuries. It’s been used for everything from birth to death. And it is a way opening. So I’m going to stand up to do this if we can. Sure.
50:25
and maybe move the chair out of the way? Sure. Oh, yeah, oh. Oh, yeah, oh. Oh, yeah, oh, oh, yeah. Oh, oh.
51:09
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
51:39
In our Northwest way, what I just did was giving a blessing to the universe and receiving one in return. Beautiful. I just wanted to let folks know that the workshops that I’m going to do are holistic, just as the Medicine Wheel is. It’s a combination of chant, dance,
52:08
sound and movement, what moves the universe, written work, and internal work. So, you get the whole, the whole universe. Well, you certainly gave us a good taste of the universe today. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Mwah! Mwah!
52:38
I think we have somebody sneaking in here. I saw a kissing going on. I want to be in the middle. Okay. Well, I like your Pueo. Isn’t she a beauty? Isn’t she beautiful? Pueo is an owl. What is that? Is that a Hawaiian word? Pueo? Pueo is Hawaiian. Oh, I see. Well, we really want to thank you, Robin, for joining us. And thank you for joining us.
53:07
It’s a pleasure always to bring shows to you, but we have great leaders, people that step out and are out there in the world that are part of our close family. We love having you here with us, Robin. Thank you for all the work that you do. Thank you, Ariel. Thank you for all the work you do. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. And we hope to be seeing you again very soon, and we’ll be seeing you on the trail, but
53:36
We’re going to make sure to keep links and everything good so everyone can find you through us too. Wonderful. Okay, and with that, we say… Aloha!
53:55
Hello again! Well, you know, we realized that we forgot to tell you about this wonderful, wonderful thing that Robyn has happening this week. She has a lot of women coming from Poland to experience her teachings and to share the island. So Robyn, tell us what’s happening. Well, this one isn’t me.
54:19
the Grandmother Circle, the Earth Foundation. I’m a part of that, of course. Susan Stanton, who is the executive director, and Maata Takawafu, who is the Pacifica Island director. We’ve put together a retreat for 14 Polish women who want to come and experience Hawaiiana.
54:45
They’re on the Big Island this week making kiheis and learning how to imprint the top of cloth and all that kind of thing. And they’ll be coming over here to learn some teachings about the Hawaiian people here on Maui and also to experience the medicine wheel. We’re going to make a medicine wheel one day. And the wheel of co-creation. That’s all part of the grandmother’s venue too because
55:13
Our purpose as grandmothers is to travel the world helping women to build grandmother councils wherever they are, to address their local issues, and to be able to be a part of a larger circle. And we’re looking forward to bringing many groups of women from all over the world here to Maui to experience our island and the special kuleana here. Thank you.
55:43
Thank you. And I hope we get to see part of this wonderful journey that you’re going to be partaking on. And we appreciate you joining us here today so very much. And God bless you. God bless you every day, but especially right now. Blessings. Aloha.
56:13
Thank you.
